CRAIGSLIST FIND!
He lives fairly close to me and I met him at the F100 Western Nats in 2008. I have offered to help him many times with the ins and outs of the parts catalog, but he's not interested.
He is in-famous for posting pics of obviously gypo parts on (so called) restored trucks he's found on the net. For another example, take a look at the pics he just posted of stripe kits in another thread in this forum.
I just knew when I looked at those fracatta pics, it would be vintage Anthony all over again.
I'm sorry Anthony, but you bring this criticism upon yourself.

I'm sorry for any and all mishaps, and confusion, and troubles I've cost you two.
If you give up on me, you give up on your future.
I fixed the post, And here is the illustration.
Yeah, But, Not Many Know of it or have even seen that Brochure before, that's why I said that.
Hey yall... I'm interested in bending and fabbing a bull bar (as pictured above) later this summer. Can you tell me what tubing diameter it is??? It'll be a while cuz I've got lots of other projects. Thanks.
I Would LOVE to learn how to use that damn catalog, You told me to read the introduction part...I've fixed that post in order to not to confuse people. I've said THIS a million times, I don't mean to confuse people, I was tryin' to help. Several of those Pictures I knew weren't factory, But, I regret postin' them now...

Both of us have oodles of literature, both of us bought trucks of this vintage brand new. I bought a new 1979 F150 Super Cab Lariat, I believe Ranger429 bought a new 1979, but I don't recall the model.
When you post pics from sales brochures, they are usually accurate. But...when you post pics of trucks you've found on the net, the parts shown on them may not be correct.
The problem with this jazz is, you are in-experienced, so you are unaware that some parts have been changed/added/modified by the owners of said trucks.
So...who you are confusing...is darn near everyone else that looks at the pics, because most FTE members do not have the years of experience that we do, and...
Most members have next to no info at all: No sales brochures, no Ford parts catalogs or factory shop manuals.
So...when they see the pics you post of trucks you've found on the net, some/all may ASSUME the parts are correct.

but my grandpa probably still has the switch and all...
If he still has them you want to find them!
bummer!
The factory switch makes the bar much more interesting!
On Wed I found a 1977 F250 about a 1/2 mile from my house with a Ford factory push bar, for that 1977. In this post there are pictures to show the difference in the 1977 vs the 1978-79 push bar.
I took it to a welding shop to have the upper bracket made larger to reach the top bumper bolt and have the lower end of the same bracket extended to make the bend to fit the top of the bumper.
Well the modification that were made on it are fine, it does fit the 1978-79 bumpers, but what the welder did was take the small round arms off the push bar and install longer round arms while using the same upper bracket with the square hole in it for the bumper bolt. It works fine, but I am too **** and want everything on my truck to be or look OEM.
So If any one is interested in the push bar I am willing to sell it. E-mail me at mtmueller@charter.net.

my 79 f250 was wrecked before, it had the factory push bar on the 78-79 bumper, but after it was wrecked, they mistakenly put a 73-77 bumper on the front and put the push bar on. Now the brackets are not correct with the bumper, im looking for a 79 bumper, the bumpers on my parts trucks are rusty and bent up, so still looking :/
When you post pics from sales brochures, they are usually accurate.
As an example, take a look at these pages from the 1973 and 1975 Ranchero brochures:
