I am working on 1985 Ford F-350, the wiring for outside lights; including tail lights, brake lights, and directional turn signals. The person that worked on it before me didn't know what he was doing, pretty sure that's the reason why it is the way it is now.
My problem is not in the bulb, or the wiring, which was my first approach. To me it seems like everything is leading back to the directional switch on the steering column. A little bit more in detail I am facing is that on the tail lights, one bulb is burning brighter than the other one. I have no brake lights whatsoever; I am not getting any voltage to either side of the stop light switch. As for the turn signal lights, they will work, but turn on the parking lights or headlights I lose my turn signal lights. One more thing, hazard lights will not work either.
If I could get a wiring diagram or an electrical schematic for this vehicle, it would be a great help to me. Would prefer not to pay three prices for one, or may some you great guys & gals can direct me to where I could get a free download.
Thanks, sorry for being so long-winded, but thought it necessary to explain my problems I am having. Thanks again!!
