I can probably bend up one of those. I am curious - how many of you would be interested in a repro?

Does anybody have a set of original fog light brackets that go on this push bar that they would like to part with? My son and I got a push bar like this at a local yard, some one had tried to grab it and got all of the bolts out except one. We happened to bring the right tools that day. I think they charged us 30 bucks.

fog light brackets

I am going to our local yard on friday (tomorrow) I think I have seen some.
They are kinda like a flat u with three holes, one on the bottom to anchor to the push bar and two on the sides for a small bolt to hold the fog light???
If this sound like it let me know and i will check in the morning and email you. oem78 Mitch.

Yes, OEM78 & Dynamic those are the fog light brackets that I am looking for. 2 holes that bolt it to the bar and one hole for the fog light. I would like to grab 4 of them with the bolts if possible. Thanks so much for looking for me. From what my shop manual shows, the 4x4 F250's had lights mounted on the bottom set of brackets and the 4x2's had lights on the top set of brackets. Thanks again, Jeff

If the local yard has the push bars, SAVE them... and sell them to us!

There are 2 holes to mount to the bar and one single hole for the light.

Those look to be homemade brackets. I'll get pictures of what the OEM brackets looked like later.

There is only 1 style correct to this era. The problem lies within the year of manufacture of the bar.

Here is the info I posted a while ago. Dynamic you want to check the mounting flanges to make sure it is correct for your year.

This is a factory correct push bar for the 78-79 Bronco's:

There was an early style bar like this that fit the 77 style bumper.

Mounts for a 77 model bumper:

Mounts for the 78-79 bumper:

You can see the difference in the way the top mount plate is bent. The problem comes when trying to mount the bottom bolts. 77 style on a 78-79 truck:

It just won't work. So best bet is to match up the style of the upper mounting plate, by the pics it looks like an early model, and if you plan on using it on a 78-79 forget about it.

OEM, the brackets on Ebay won't work. According to the shop manual they are "L" shaped. Ranger, I just double checked the mounting of my bar, and I have the correct bar that works on a 1978 F250 4x4, the top and bottom plates mount flush with the bumper. I am just looking for some fog lite brackets, If you happen to have a pic of the factory brackets, it would be nice to see what they are suppose to look like. Not even sure if I want to add lights, just wanted the original brackets, Thanks for all the help. Jeff

ok... so mine is a 78-79 according to your pictures against mine!

and these brackets look factory other than one was added in the incorrect spot and they are both welded rather than bolted!

p.s. not bad for cell phone pics!

That clears up some confusion for me, I thought the fog light brackets looked factory, I guess someone decided to weld them instead of using the holes that were already pre-drilled in the pushbar. Isn't it fun trying put things back to original?
