Was thinking about putting a Warn 8000 winch that I have on my 04 F250. I have a Fisher plow mount on the truck but was wondering if it will work with a hiden hitch mount. Anyone know?Anyone have a photo of what the hiden mount looks like?
Check out the link to my post. Also have plans to do a front mount hidden hitch for a winch mount.
I am looking at the Curt but there are a few others. Remember these typically only have a 5000lb pull rating.
If your looking at a winch for your truck retrieval consider a full on winch mount bumper or similar. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...ver-hitch.html
Woody,
I think Furian has probably more of what your looking for. Sorry to miss lead you if i did. What i was looking for was more for a portable/removable winch set-up as what i believe your looking more into is the "hidden winch".
I also mislead on the ratings on the "hidden receiver hitch". 9000lb max line pull, 5000lb trailer weight and 500lb tongue weight.

So I think we've established that the OP is either looking for the integrated "hidden winch" package or a winch that can mount to a "hidden receiver hitch". Only he can enlighten us on which one.
I've got the "hidden receiver" on my '03, and it can, of course, accept one of the "portable winch carriers". I like this setup since I can use my portable winch on either the front or rear of the truck.
I am talking about the hiden permenet mount NOT the hidden receiver. Al though never tought about the receiver type. I have the winch and would like to put it on my 04. Only problem is I have a Fisher plow mount on the truck.
