Winch Mounting

Hello,

Does anyone know if Warn and Ramsey have the same specs for mounting a winch? Specifically meaning are the bolts that mount their winches in the same pattern?

I've got a ramsey 12,000lb winch (RE or REP series) that I'm wanting to mount to a 2001 F350. I'm curious if I will be able to use a mount for a warn winch. Warn seems to have more options available.

Also, if anyone has any Mounts that they like please let me know the model numbers/manf names. I'm looking for just a basic way to mount the winch, not a 2,000 dollar bumper. If I could get away with just buying a tray mound or something like a brush guard mount I would be happy.

Thanks in advance

Although I dont have any off hand experience with either, they should both use the standard 10x4.5 bolt pattern.

Just run into this one in the store today. It is on sale. Al you need is front and rear end receiver to make perfect setups.
I am using cheapo 8000 lb winch and it has a dozen different holes on mounting plate for different bolting. What would be a problem to make it work anywhere you want?

I wanted to use that style mounting for my winch. But u cant use ur winch really unless ur cable is straight. If u tried a really hard pull at an angle it would more than likely bend. This is what I was told when I inquired on that style mount.

I agree I've had several Warn 12000 winches and they are heavy duty. They'll destroy a receiver type mount in a tough situation.
