Hey George, IIRC you also mentioned to install the gauges in the hood, I found this related to that, is just an idea for you, because its different truck, but:

George, try one of these for the steering column mount. i wanna say this is what cody used, but i can't be sure right now. will have to look next time i'm over there..

the top pic i posted is the pod i got for my scan guage to mount it to the dash by the bottom pillar guage. it's a pretty nice pod.

With this last pods, does the wires are visible or not? Because I dont like to see them.

the wires will be visable. i'm just gonna put loom around the wire for my scan guage so it's not showing much except the loom. that's all i could come up with that would work on the dash worth a dang on the curved part.
