based on the op's concern that is a completly inaccurate statement. after all he did have to do it twice

Very well said my friend, very well said. You'll have to excuse my edit just a little.

I can't follow this thread to well on my phone so please bear with me questions.
I have an 05 stroke. Will I encounter these problems when i delete egr?
I'm tuned with banks with pda so i would need to call them for a tune for deleted egr....

I doubt you Will have these exact issues. Ther is always something that comes up though. It is fairly straight fwd. Do your research. Change the HPOP screen, oil cooler, coolent filter, and the turbo drain tube when you delete the EGR cooler. FTE and it's members will be a great help if you need them.

Good luck, let us know how it goes!!!

PS. With the tuner, you may want to look at studs as well

Angry EGR delete?

Hi Guys. I'm new to this forum(just signed up) and had a question maybe someone could help with. I have lost two egr valves in my 03 F250. This past week my son and I were headed fishing and was getting off the Interstate going down the off ramp when I lost the second one or this was what I thought. When I gave it fuel you couldn't see what was behind you for the white smoke. Drove it to the local Ford dealer and the tech told me I had oil in the coolant. This I could already see. He also said the head gaskets were blown. All in all $4700. My question is, while I have all this stuff being replaced should I just go ahead and have him delete the cooler and egr. One final question, WHO makes a GOOD delete system?
Thanks

The dealership won't do the delete job. Are you running a tuner? If so some ARP studs would be a good call. I hear alot about the sinister delete kit. Most of these guys are doing these jobs themselves. Check out the Hm page here for the 6.0. Up top will be some threads marked READ FIRST. Tons of info in there man.... Tons
