EGR Delete

Hey guys, just finished my EGR cooler delete and oil cooler rebuild on my 04. I plan to have a tune written to turn off the egr valve but I don't have my tuner yet. I plan to add oil and coolant in the morning and fire the truck for the first time. Should I just leave the EGR valve unplugged for now? Is there any adverse effect to leaving it plugged in??

If you did the full delete and the bottom of the intake is capped off it won't hurt anything just leaving it plugged in. I've got an 05 and deleted mine and left it plugged in for a while before I got my tuner. No codes thrown and the truck ran alot better. Plugged in or unplugged it's already gone.

I would leave it plugged in until you get your tuner.
