That brings up my second car: a 65 Sport Fury with 383 (bored and running about 400 cubic inches). What a ride.
I learned how to drive in a 2001 C&$^Y Pickup. After that, i drove the 1966 Mustang w/ a 200 straight 6 auto tranny, that me and my dad restored. after i totalled that one , i drove a 1992 Plymouth Voyager (which i still drive now). Then about 2 months ago, my uncle gave me my 1965 Ford F100 352 Three on the Tree. So i have had my share of vehicles, and im only 18! Rebel
Mine was a 1976 Pontiac Grand LeMans station wagon I bought for $100 in 1990. Green with the wood paneling on the exterior. It had a Pontiac 400 and the original Pontiac wheels and beauty rims. It was a POS!! Nothing worked, no heater, windshild wipers, radio, nothing at all. You had to hold the brake and the accelerator down at stop lights just to keep it running, and then pump the gas like crazy to get it going. It had over 300,000 miles on it. It was rusted so bad that I took snips to the rear fenders and just cut them off. The gas tank was held in place by a seat belt strap and 3 bungee cords. I drove it so that I could afford payments on my 2 motorcycles. I was the only kid in my high school with a motorcycle --chicks dug it!!
1970 F100 with a 360. Never did get around to doin much to that one, too busy chasing girls and drinking beer I guess. Now, nine years later, gone full circle, drivin a 1970 F250 Crew 4x4. This one is definately gettin fixed up, and I'm sure a few beers will be consumed doing it!! Always have liked those old trucks, first drove one frome the neighbors place when I was 4 years old and look what its done to me
First was a 1986 F-250 4x4 with a 6.9 deisel. And a our speed. No pwer anything but steering and vinyal floor and seat. BUT HAD AIR CONDITIONING! I used to amoer all the floor and seat and watch people slid out of the truck onto the ground. Stopped when a girl with a skirt got in she wnt out but the sirt satyed hehehe. Truck had 211 on it and for no turbo got up nd went. Alo did three wheel burnouts. Wish I still had it tody even if the 89 is nice but still tan ovr brown was nicenice
1966 VW Beetle. The absolute worst piece of crap ANYTHING that I've ever owned. Got rid of it after 2 months. Why people were so crazy about those rotten things, I'll never know. I hated that car. Not that a rear-engine car is a bad thing; at least my Corvair has a real heater/ defroster in it.
The first was a 1983 Ford Fairmont LTD, it had a straight six in it and also had over 300.000 miles on it. It was a machine that made the energizer bunny look bad, it really really just kept going and going.
You could drive that thing off a cliff and it would start right back up and go. I also jumped it a few times off the old rail road tracks here in my town, and got about two feet of air (C'mon thats a lot in a car) and it would crash land and just keep on going.
