Anyone in here know who plays the drill instuctor? He's on Mail Call now. I just saw the movie and I think I've heard some of the best insults in my life.
I have that movie memorized! Gunnery Sergeant Ermey was a real life drill instructor for the USMC. For all those who wonder, that is the truest depiction of Marine Corps boot camp that I have ever seen. And that movie did win a few awards if I remember right.
R. Lee is great. I've seen him in several movies, but let's not forget Vincent D' Onofrio. He played the part of "Gomer Pyle" and ended up shooting the sarge.
He played the part of the "bug" on "Men in Black" and now plays the lead in "Law and Order, Criminal Intent".
There was a movie made about two or three years ago, it was basically about three crazy 20 year olds that had a Neil Diamond singing act, two of the guys were real losers, one was the bright and normal guy. The story revolved around a rich snobby girl that
was dating the "normal guy", but the other two wackos wanted her to stop seeing their friend. They ended up kidnapping her, and holding her for ransom, they hoped that their friend would forget about her.
What the heck was the name of that movie?????
Someone please tell us, it is worth renting, if you like dark comedy.
R. Lee played a psycho football coach, and he was hilarious in that role, he is great as a comic. I like all of the characters he plays, and I do not think he gets enuf credit for being a "high caliber" actor.
Dude, I thought that was the guy( V.D.O.) that played on Law & Order CI. Yeah ,because I seen him roll those crazy eyes around on L&O like he did on Full Metal Jacket. That`s cool , thanks for bringing that up!! He plays a good wacked out character.
