My first car was Battleship Grey 1952 Austin A40 Somerset Saloon.
That car was so much fun.(see my thread in the announcement forum)
I would put $1.50 worth of gas in it on Friday night and that would last me all weekend.(1966)
The Car's name was..... Herman.

my grandpa gave me my first truck.... 88 chevy half ton, two wheel drive, 4 spd granny gear 6cyl, am bangercrap brown for a color, 4 differnt hub caps on it, tan topper. and man i loved that truck! it got totalled and i still wish i had bought it back and rebuilt it. it sure wasn't anything to look at or as far as performance goes, but it was my first truck and ill always remember it
My first Car was a 68 Mustang coupe, with a 200 six in it, i still have it and its under restoration.
The first "driveable" Vehicle i had was a 76 F-100 Explorer. It was partially restored when i got it, but my brother borrowed it and needless to say after many mud riding trips, it kind of rusted away.
I drove it all the way until late 2000 before i parked it and pulled the running gear, nothing left of the poor old thing except the glass and a few interior peices....
My first car was a 1969 Camaro RS convertable. It was passed down through my family. My father bought it for my mom back in 69'. I still have it in my garage. I don't get the chance to drive it much but it is road ready. Jake.
'79 f-100, bought it for $600 canadin, as is where is, with a 250 6cyl, and c-6 auto, with no kickdown........ after many changed, the running gear was swapped into my 78 last october..... 79 lasted me 6 years, and 150,000km's
My first car was a 1982 Mercury Zephyr, 4 door, 200I6/auto. The car had over 230K on the clock when I got it (140K on the engine) $200 from my uncle. All I ever put into it was a new carb($125), gas and a few oil changes. It got 16-20 mpg and I drove it for 2 years and 50K+ miles. My next car was the biggest POS I ever owned, an 86 chrysler w/2.2turbo. Put more into it than I paid for the car.
My first car was a 1930 Model "A" Ford. I bought it from a old farmer that had it stored in a barn for about 25 years and it only had 40,000 miles on it. I got it for $30.00! I done a frame up restoration on it in the 80s and was forced to sell it in 1996 due to a divorce.
MANTTA you lived my dream.....except for the divorce part...
My first car was a 89 Mustang LX 302 (5.0) 5 speed, my father bought it and I payed him back (well most of it anyway)I lost her at a red light.... guy ran the red light...I still cry from time to time
The first car I ever rode in was a 72 mach 1,351 cleveland Q-code
hurst 4 speed red with black mach 1 stripe. My father brought me home in it from the hospital, when I was born..........And yes it is the same one at the bottom of my list.....she's in the garage...
I just wish I would have brought my sons home in her..........one of my biggest regrets
Number 1 for me was a '72 Ford Econoline Van (the kind with the flat front). It was an old Sears utility truck and my Dad grabbed it for a few bucks from a mechanic friend who had been servicing the local Sears Fleet. I did all the usual cool things to it - bed in back, captains chairs, wailing stereo, etc. Sitting in the driver's seat, the motor was virtually in my lap, and most engine repairs had me in some kind of contorted position inside the passenger compartment (which was often).
First 'car' was a 1972 Ranchero... 400 V8, C6 with a Hurst Lightning Rod shifter, gold metallic with black stripes. My dad bought it thinking he could use it as a truck... did'nt work out that way. Drove it for a year before selling it and getting a 1974 Mustang II. Four cylinder, four speed, no radio, no power steering. Got 25 miles per gallon, but could'nt haul hay worth a darn.
My first REAL truck I got in high school... a 1977 F250 Hiboy, 75,000 miles, red with white Explorer stripes, a 351 V8 and 4 speed with a granny low first gear, Pioneer stereo. It had 7.50 x 16 tires on it when I got it. Did'nt care for those split rims, so sold them and got some 16.5 x 8.25 white spoke wheels and Goodyear Wranglers bias-ply tires for it. Drove it to college, where I worked for a farmer to pay my way and used it everyday. Gave up washing it after the junior prom. Kept that truck for years... after the bed got rusty, I built a flatbed with a bale stabber on it and drove it for a farm truck, until the oil pump gave out and the engine seized up. Sold it to a kid who wanted the running gear, for $800. It had nearly 300,000 miles on it by then. I wish they still made 'em like that one.
My first car was a rusty '63 Chevy Impala 4-dr. HT. The first truck was a '66 F-100 Custom Cab---another ruster with two 2 X 12's bolted together for a front bumper.
People sure got out of the way when they saw it ! The cab mounts rusted out and the cab settled jamming the column shift for the 3-spd---had to install a floor shift to sell it... The old 240-6 ran good... If I had the time,I'd attach a photo. Of course, after that, I was hooked on Ford trucks ! J.R.
Mine was a 1984 Limited Edition Texas Lariat. Bought her for 2,495 with only 86,000 on the clock in 98'. Entirely stock, long box, twin tanks, a/c, cruise, 4 speed automatic. Loved that truck. Sold it when I joined the Coast Guard. Still regret sellin it.
My first car was a Ford 2002 F-350, well....look at my signature for the rest of the info.
My first vehicle (the F-350) , I bought it when I was 16, last year, I got it the day before my license( I drove it home with my dad in the passengers seat) . I thank God I passed my drivers test the following day, otherwise, that truck would've been sitting in my driveway for another 2 weeks
The cool thing is, I've had it for about 6 1/2 months, and the only time my parents drive it, is when they have to move it out of the way to get their cars out of the garage, other than that, I'm the only one who has ever drove it.
The first car I actually owned was a 1982 Camaro Berlinetta - V6 auto - it was a nice original ride - almost zero rust on it as it came from Alberta - bought it in early spring 1996. $800.00 CAN
I then, in spring 1997, proceeded to buy a 1985 Z-28 Camaro with a 350 and 5 speed standard and a really bad body - it was bondo and primer grey - but it ran really sweet. Cost me $200.00 CAN I still had the 1982 at this point. Never put the 85 on the road.
In 1998 I bought my 1979 F-150 Explorer - all original from the original owner - it had been stored for 6 years on a concrete floor in a nice shed. Sold the 1985 Z-28 about month or so after that and sold the 1982 Berlinetta about 4 months after buying the Truck.
Spring 1999 - Got the truck on the road and haven't looked back since!
