its the one in my gallery. after $7k spent on it, it is no where near done. had 83k miles when i bought it in 2000. paid for it myself...i have paid for everything for the truck except the paint and a new radiator, which blew up when my dad was driving it. its got 101k miles now and i am starting to look into a new cam and heads, cuz it will never be fast enough for me.
My first car (at 16 in 1983) was a beat up 65 Mustang with a 200 straight six and 3 burnt valves. I spent the summer rebuilding it and drove it until I graduated. I passed it on to my younger brother who promptly totaled it.
First car was a '64 Ford Galaxie 500XL my dad loaned me. This was a great car, 352 cid w/ Cruisomatic. Very heavy and it rode really good. No way he would let me take it to college so we cashed in an IRA and got me a 85 Toyota Corolla SR5 (my IRA was worth $4000 in '91, my sisters was worth $25,000 9 yrs later, just my luck). It was baby blue with the flip-up headlights. I drove it 100,000 miles and sold it for $300. That person sold it for $1000. Made me sick !!!
I got my 72 F100 for $75 during the Toyota Tenure. Kinda hard to go fishin'/huntin' in the little car. Still have the 72 and dad still has the 64. They are both undergoing frame off resto's.
My first car was a 1972 Dodge Dart 4 dr green with a black vinyl roof. We paid $750 for it in 1985. All original, 73000 mi or so, bought it from a friend of the family. It had a 318 under the hood. It was ugly and huge, but it left just about any first generation 'stang at the stoplight thinking "I just got blown away by a Dart, a 4dr at that" It would hit 60mph in a tenth of a mile in first gear(3 speed auto). Sold it to a buddy and he promptly totalled it. Totalled a 72 Dart, that thing was made out of steel and weighed almost 4000 lbs, if I remember.
Anyway, it was ugly, but it was dependable and was my first car. Kind of like my first love.
First car was a 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 4-dor sedan with a 289. Saved up 250 bucks working at BK for $3.35 an hour in 1985 while in high school.
The car was perfectly streight with major rust out. Unfortunatly, it died of rust, but the engine ran good.
I first started driving a 92 Ranger with 100k, But the first one I bought was a warmed up 79 Monte Carlo, great car, but someone thought it was too fast and ran into me as I passed them on an open, otherwise emty road.
Then I bought the Ranger from my dad. I sold that to 3 Mexicans who could not speak English for $2000 cash, it had 150k miles. That was in the parking lot of the dealership where I bought my current Ford Truck, I also have a 71 Mach 1 now, I used to have a street racer 79 Cutlass
1982 E350 Exteneded Club Wagon, thats right 15 passenger, There were 7 in my family including mom and dad so we had 2 of these monsters, I got the old beat up one with 178k in the clock, 351/c6 and a 4.10 rear.... That thing would scream. I had to get rid of it when it stopped holding oil pressure, then got my 87 F150 biggest POS I ever paid for, traded it off on my sig and have been very happy with it.
first truck was a 78 dodge powerwagon 4spd 4.10 gears 4x4 long bed rag cab with leather bucket seats and a 360 HO police engine that mabe 300hp I still got her and am in the process of a restro right now. Got a ne 4bbl carb and intake in the mail with a new front axle and transfercase. 4" lift kit in the basment with a set of 44 super swampers right next to it. Going to have to do some mods to the lift kit to get 6" of lift when its all said and done with. Maybe a Cummins in the near furture.
My first car (purchased in 1983) was a 1965 Mustang with a 200 I6 with 3 burnt valves. I rebuilt the engine during the day with dad giving me instructions each night, including hand lapping valves (what a chore). I wish I still had that car.
