I think I am one for pulling the wheels on that side and inspecting all components and doing a re-pack of the wheel bearings while there.

Morning,

I was thinking he had already done this several times, but certainly couldn't hurt to do it again. Could be really hard, however, to see some of the various possibilities.

I check our hubs by felling the lug nuts all the time and they are always some difference in the temp from wheel to wheel, I just put it to the magnets, the only time I get concerned is if one of them is cold or very hot then I know there is a problem. I had to replace a magnet a few years ago and it ran cooler than the others until it mated itself into the drum. We also have self adjusting brakes so that can also make a difference between the brakes.
