New tires n stuff

Finally saved enough $$$ to get the new tires on my TT. Got a set of Good Year Marathons, 4 new bearings and redid the brakes. You really don't realize how worn something is until you get it replaced with new!! The rig pulls nice and smooth, and the brakes....really had to back the brake controller off, what a difference! Can't wait for my next trip!

that is a good lesson for us all. Did you get ST or LT tires?

I got the ST trailer tires. Also upgraded the valve stems to steel core to handle the higher pressure that these tires are rated for. The old tires (original from manufacturer) had the same air pressure rating but had the cheap rubber valve stems. The guy at the tire shop (my brother owns it) was amazed I have not had one give out! It seems amazing to me that a major RV manufacturer would cheap out on a simple two dollar part that is such a big part of the safety of the rig! Oh well, now I'm set for a couple years ayway!
