I will suggest buying an identical (or similar) truck, parking it next to it and commence swapping parts!
There is no way to tell "exactly" what this will cost.
It all depends what your donor vehicle cost and what is worn out!
Suspension
Axles
Transmission
Transfercase
This is NOT a job for the meek!
It is a LOT of work!
If you're not VERY mechanically inclined, don't attempt it!
You're better off buying a 4wd.

I think the Jeep axles are too narrow, and I'm almost real sure (if that's possible) that the spring perches are in a different place. If you can make them fit, I'd think real hard about not using the AMC 20 for the back if that's the one you have laying around
Ive got an 80 F100 with a 300 inline 3 speed converted to floor shift. I just bought 2 83 F150s for 400$, I plan on taking the 4x4 chassis and putting my body from the 80 onto the 83 donor. Putting in a 302 rebuilt and using the c4 trans out of the 4x4. Should be alot easier than swapping front ends and less time consuming. Then I plan on using a bed to make a little trailer with to follow my truck I think this process will be easy and a day job for I have lifts and plenty of tools at hand, and plenty of mechanic buddies. I agree with dont try it unless you have some mechanical abilities, it could get ugly. The main reason Im going this way is I wont have make changes to the excisting frame for spring hangers, mounts and alignment problems that might accur with a front end swap. I would buy a donor 4x4 and go that route. Good luck, wish me luck as well I might need it LOL.
