I have cleaned and adjusted these brakes a time or two but still have more heat on the same wheel everytime. It is one out of 4 wheels. Tell me what i might be doing wrong.

Thanks Guys

Thanks Guys

When you say "Clean" did you pull the caliper slide pins and clean them up then use high temp grease on em? These tend to be the #1 culprit of a dragging brake.

So hot does it get? A little warm or too hot to touch. Just wondering if you have bearing that might be going bad.

That being the case, I am not sure it is cause for concern. My thinking is a bearing slightly out of tolerance might be the culprit. My tendency would be to keep an eye on it as see if anything changes. It doesn't sound as though there are any indication of a problem.

While in theory all the bearing should be equal in temperature, sometimes theory doesn't hold up in the real world. Most stuff seems to have a tolerance of plus or minus 10%. I wonder if this is one of those cases.

Usually with electric brakes the problem is more likely to be not enough contact, rather than too much, but I think anything is possible. Is this something new or has it always been this way?

If it's new, I'd schedule a trip to the dealer......

It could be that one of your magnets is grabbing onto the drum a little harder than the others causing the brake to engage a little harder.

The trouble with issues like this is it is hard to tell if they will create a problem.

If it is a brake issue, provided it can be safely done, disconnecting the brake lead to the hot wheel and taking the trailer for a spin should result in no rise in brake temperature. If you "compare the resistance between magnets on the hot wheel and one of the others, you will know if the magnets are drawing about the same amps when activated.

If the rise in temperature is still there, it would mean a bearing issue.

Either way, it is a pain in the butt!
