Oily green slim in intake hose.

I removed my intake hose the other day and noticed that there was some green oily slim that was pooled up right before the intake. What could be the problem and fix?

Thank you
Wyatt

You mean turbo intake?

If so, it is the CCV crud...

Its the tube that comes from the intercooler and into the intake manifold.

So after doing some more reading it does look to be the CCV. Thanks GEARLOOSE1 for pointing me in the direction. Now im looking into getting the Racor unit. Is the CCV4500 sufficent enough to do the job?

What did you do about the hole on the intake where it use to return from the valve cover?

The racor 4500 should be good enough. I installed the 6000. My intake is clean as a whistle too. 1" hose is worth it. The max spec on the crankcase pressure is 0.3 psig.

Yeah I would rather run the racor instead. I think it would be messy where the fluid would empty on the ground. Or is there no problem with that?

Where did you mount the 6000? Do you have any pics...I am very interested. Thanks.

I used one of those rubber expansion plugs with the nut on one side. Kind of like the ones used for a boat's drain plug.
I used 1" heater hose to just behind the cab. I will add the Racor 4500 when ever I get around to it. There has been no oil out of the hose yet and I never smell it. If I look at in the sun light I can see it "breathing".
