No clue on the factory color, but have you though of paint it to match the front bumper or the body color? I never liked the gray color that don't really match anything else on the truck unless the truck itself is that same shade of gray. If your front bumper is chrome, I'd go with gloss black on both front and rear bumpers...
Try VHT sp188 spray paint, the generic term for the paint color is ARGENT silver or grey.
The VHT paint can be found at many auto stores, see if the tone suits your needs.

Front bumper is mint condition and chrome
Keeping it like that, and i've always liked to rear step bumpers to be that plain grey color.
Truck will be Raven Black with a gold stripe going across the side in the middle body line with the Trans Am phoenix on the hood.
Ford has always used Argent Grey on These body trucks. I used Hammered Bronze. Its the same color but has a textured look. Looks great if there's imperfections.
Chrome rear bumper then? They do make some chrome paint that looks pretty good if used properly...
I have thaught of that, I'll have to go see my buddy that has a chroming shop, if he still has it. I'll get the bumper chromed. If not, I'll paint it my self Argent Grey.
