Rear Bumper -- Step Pads

Pop Quiz............

I have new upper and lower step pads ordered for my rear bumper.

Even though kept under a carport, the rear bumper still gets sunlight in the afternoon. And the original are getting somewhat faded.

I think the upper step pad simply snaps into place. Correct?

Is the lower step pad at the license plate just as easy to install?

I took my bumper off and painted it a couple months ago. I think if you go from underneath and squeeze the plastic barbs on the pad and push each one up, the pad eventually comes loose. If you remove the black plastic skirt just above the upper pad, it will give you more clearance. The lower comes of in similar fashion and is the easier of the two because it is shorter and there are no clearance issues.

Ahh, OK! Thank You!

I like things nice and simple. I decided to never do another minute of work after I retired. And I plan to

stick to this retirement resolution. Popping them on and off can't really be considered "work".
