Welp, got the truck back after having the carb rebuilt, and the truck is running pretty darn smooth. Now...on to the 24+ y/o suspension, then...the never-ending battle with rust. I sure do love this old truck though. I look forward to having another vehicle someday so I can start learning about how everything works without worrying too much about making sure I can get to work on monday. Not to mention a driveway/garage
Have been working on the Explorer since I got out of work. I am trying to get one of my two vehicles road worthy so I can work on the other one. I was using the F150 and working on the explorer now I have to switch.

"I have to switch" ?
As in: something prevents you from progressing on the Explorer?
greg, this place is in weymouth MA, near boston about 2.5 hours away. same place??? also greg, your old '79 passed me today, with a coat of wax! it sounded pretty strong and the kid was smiling. i guess he spent hours sanding and painting the exhaust. i thought you'd be happy to know its on the road and being taken care of.
