like i said before dave, im just not patient enough for fishing. also, i dont fancy the flavor even if i were to catch anything. its a lost cause with me i guess!
Most of my fishing was as a child and my father devoured the trout & bullheads I caught up in New York.
As an adult I went back to fishing to introduce my daughter to the activity, after she caught her first fish with all the glee a child exudes she hasn't gone fishing much since.
Then last year our cabin was broken into for the first time, it was built in 1975, and all the fishing gear was stolen. I don't plan on replacing any of it.
Andy, how'd the fishing trip go? I just bought a kayak recently to get in some more fishing. Out in CO, it's much easier to fish from the shore. I have found that at most lakes here, everybody owns the shore of the lakes.
I have been fishing most of my life, and I can tell you that everything works, and everything doesn't. It's all on how you present it, and what the fish are feeling that day. The best part of fishing is going with someone you care about, i.e. kid, sibling, friend, family.
