well, i played with the ol exploder some more today. sprayed some brake cleaner in the MAF and got the dust off it, and took the slack out of the throttle cable. now, instead of 1/4 to 1/3 of throttle when my foots on the floor, i get 100% full open throttle, and WOW what a difference...

So, I went to the local u-pull it boneyard today and found a bed in excellent shape for $110. There was some minor surface rust on the bed rails, but when I lifted the bed mat to see what the floor looked like, the paint was still shiny. And it didn't even have any dents or dings.
