well, today i seafoamed the ol exploder. im fairly certain that the whole town thinks it actually exploded. 225,000 miles worth carbon just got burnt out. . dunno if i have any real gains yet as it was still smokin when i parked it again, so it can soak overnight a little and get some more out.

hey can you explain what it is you did? get rid of carbon? i thought only those ("special") gasoline's or additives removed carbon build up.
maby I have this wrong.
heres the web page for the motor treatment stuff like i used. complete with a vid. if you want, send me a PM, and when i get a camera, ill be sure to take a video. i think its hilarious when i use the stuff, and its an old car, so it could probably use a second helpin of it. lol.
i might add that i use the whole can on the intake. i just stick a hose on an open vacuum port and stick the hose in the can. let it suck enough to die. let it sit for about 5 minutes, and then drive it around for another five. make sure its warmed up before you start the procedure as well. i like to drive till the smoke starts to thin, but isnt gone, and then park it. let it sit overnight and soak some more, then it will get cleaned when i drive the next day.
first time ive done it to this vehicle, but ive done it to my others and it really makes a big difference.
this is one guys vid on it. ive done it through the vacuum tree, and strait down the intakes before too. on carbed rigs, you can just poor it in the carb.
i used the whole can in the intake, none in the oil or gas. i use lucas pretty much everything, and seafoam as a carbon cleaner. if its just in your gas, it will clean the system. but it wont smoke, and i wont do as good of a job in my opinion at gettin all the crap out. all that white smoke is the carbon and gunk in your motor gettin burned off and blown out.
So just drizzle around 1/2 bottle of seafoam down the carb slowly while its in idle until it dies? I got two bottles, so im thinking of throwing 3/4 into oil, 1/2 into carb, and 3/4 into gas. Think that should get a pretty good overall cleaning?
I am a little conserned about something i read about this, in old vehicles carbon build ups are holding the old seals together and preventing leeks, have you ever expierieanced this, old seals breaking down and leeking?
hey, couldent find sea foam but the guys at the shop know what it is, they say that it is probobly not available in canada, next time I go to the states I will stock pile. any ways they told me to try this stuff, only 12$ so what the heck, it is gunk motor flush, supposed to be put into a cold engine gun at idle for 5 minuts then change the oil, have no idea if this works, any one tryed it?
as far as causin the seals to leak, ive never experienced it cause of the seafoam. if i have leaky seals its cause the motor is wore plumb the hell out, not from loosened carbon buildups...
that sucks that you cant get it in canada... and gunk works pretty good too. the "cure all" additives and cleaners i trust include: lucas (for any, and everything), WD40, seafoam, gunk, and pretty much any kind of brake cleaner.
FNFLover, i think that should work. only i would do half of one in the oil, the other half in the gas, and one whole bottle in the intake. but thats just me, do it how you see fit. thats the beauty of it.
