Its going good I got my steering column back together after last nights disaster. Bought it out a 86 Camaro and while mocking up in the car a bolt fell out of it. So I tore it apart then the bearings feel out along with my patience. Found the rest of the BB's today, (good thing GM quit making them) and put it back together 3rd time was a charm. Hows your streetrod coming.
Sounds like you are making headway even with the frustrations. Car is coming along good I thought the rearend was all set but I got a few adjustments to make yet. Next step is to start running fuel lines and fuel pump. Then onto wiring. Say you got any recomendations on a shop that can shorten and balance my driveshaft? I want it done right the first time cause I have heard to many horror stories about unbalanced driveshafts.
Power componets in waite park been using them since I was 16. $40 for a balance, +/- $200 for the a complete job. I bought my Output shaft, driveshaft, and u-joints(ford-chevy) from speedway parts. I wish I would have bought a donor car but sometime it is nice to have new parts.
Hope all is well if any one is still hanging around.
Hey Troy, the goats name is Billy, how clever, I think not.
I bought one of those scan gauge II today. I was driving by an Auto Zone and stopped to look at one and bought it, shouldn't have, but did.
I hooked it up and took the truck for a spin, seems to work good so far. I went and toured the flooding along the Crow river around Delano, only five miles away. Almost go into an accident. I almost hit a Beaver, the four legged kind. It was sitting on the edge of a partially flooded road, and looked like a very large garbage bag until I was five feet away. It was huge. I have never seen one before around here, but saw two more after that.
Hey Lee who would have thought of Billy for a name for a goat...clever. LOL Congrats on the scangauge I hope it works out well for you! Keep us posted on how you like it. Can it pull codes?
Ya know there is some flooding out here and my uncle was out checking it out last Sat and saw a beaver also and said it was the biggest he had ever seen. Must be something with the flood waters bringing them out.
Afternoon everyone! Hope everybody is having a good Saturday!
I am finally heading out to look at that truck with my buddy. So I will report back on what we find later on. I will keep a close eye out for large beavers too, maybe get a pic or two!

I was going to send my motorcycle seat to a guy in Florida to redo the foam so it's more comfortable for myself and Lynn on longer rides but the guy said he will not do BMW seats because the pans are to hard and crack when restapled. WTF is up with that? So I did a bunch of research this morning and decided to do my own mods.
I have a Corbin seat that I bought a long time ago that I am going to redo first since it is already shaped about right. It just needs better foam. Found a ton of good info at this site
Afternoon Jay & Steve and whoever else is around. Long time no see Steve, Troy is going to catch up in a year or two.
Jay, I assume the pans are wood on those seats, is that correct? I new a guy who used to do upolstry on the side, and he would pre drill his staple holes on real old pieces because of cracking.
