Thanks for the resurrection of this old thread. Never came across this one. I still haven't figured out if it's okay to mix SP and LV. Book marketing this for later reading.

All I can say is that I did it on my 05 and never had any problem.

I thought the rumor was Ford dropped the LV recommendation and went back to SP recommendation due to issues with the LV fluid. Just a 'rumor'?

I'm surprised SP is still on the market after all these years. Thought it was being phased out. It's more expensive than LV though. I bought a bunch of LV years ago in anticipation of doing several drain/fills to change out fluid, but ended up doing the cold flush method when I found out about it. So I have a bunch of LV left as a result.

Bought mine from Ryder Fleet Products. Best price I could find at the time for $3.91/qt.

Awesome find and thank you sir. One hell of a relief for me. I bought a case of LV a few months back then upon more searching I found other info that says it may have been a waste of money for me.
