This fluid has excellent thermal, oxidation and shear stability and good low temperature fluidity. It provides wear protection and inhibits the formation of gum, sludge, lacquer and foam. The interesting thing that I had not noticed before (maybe it was not included in the past on this web site) is the statement to NOT use it where Mercon SP is recommended. I had heard differently - so this needs some investigation!

I thought so too... Auto zone and other stores are selling sp so that also got me thinking that SP was going away
I am not posting this to tell everyone to only use LV I am just trying to figure out it it is FULLY compatible in OUR trans.
Sure is confusing how they worded things in your first post!!
I don't think that I would mix the two though - just enough questions on these posts to concern me a little.
