changing over to hei

I have 69 f250 high boy that im trying to change over to hei. I could use all the help i can get on doing so. I have the hei distribtor for a 74 and an control module box for it as well. Just could use sum help runing wires and needing to know if i need to change out the ignition switch. Thanks for looking and thanks in advance for the help.

Use the factory wire to the coil to actuate a relay, and then use the relay to power the ignition module. Run a wire straight from the battery to the relay, with a 30a fuse as close to the battery as you can get it. You should put a ballast resistor after the relay, but I've run the DSII modules of straight 12v with an e-coil with no ill effects.
Ford never used an HEI system, that was GM. Ford called their electronic ignition Duraspark.
