Hey all,
I have a 302 SBF with an aftermarket HEI style distributor. I am using the 2 pole momentary starter button. My question is, how should the starting circuit be wired? I have seen a lot of diagrams where they use the traditional Ford coil but the HEI dizzy has the coil built in. I cannot find a diagram that shows this wiring setup. Thanks in advance for your help.
The starting circuit shouldn't involve the HEI at all. There's no ballast to bypass like with a "regular" coil.
Ok, so maybe my question should have been worded more like...how will the wiring diagram look using the HEI, the 4 post starter relay and the 2 pole starter button?
You still need a switched (keyed or toggle) power source directly to distributor. Also power to momentary push button switch, then to "S" term of starter solenoid relay. I'm no good at drawing on a computer.
