Hello everyone, I have a question and am looking for input on my 390 big block that has a GM HEI ignition module on it.
I have talked to my local ford guy back home and he tells me I should still have my vacuum advance line hooked up when using the HEI module but my engine seems to run better with it plugged.???? It just runs weird when it is hooked up, like it is changing the advance too much or something.
I had a thought that maybe the harmonic balancer could be bad, but don't have enough experience with these to know what the real problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks to anyone who knows!!
