Single Shot Injector Question?

I have some supporting mods on my e-99 f-350 and i would really like to try a set of 50 hp single shot injectors but i concerned about the noise that these my make? Any info from those of you that have or are running them would be appreciated. Thanks

Singles are only slightly louder at idle. When driving down the road, there's really no real noise difference between singles and splits.

Where are you planning on buying injectors from?

Don't forget you'll need to update your tuning.

What Pocket said. No noticable change in sound other than a slight, and I mean slight increase at idle.

I have Casserly Stage 1 Singles and the are not much louder than the splits I did notice a slight "lope" in the idle if you want to call it that. Like Pocket said also you will have to get your tuning updated t run them though.

Well i plan on getting them from clay but im still undecided on which size to get? Any thoughts? I rarely pull super heavy loads and when i do its at low speeds and the rest of the time its moderate loads up mountain passes and so on.

50hp sticks are stage 1s. What are your plans for the turbo? You're pretty limited with the e99.

If you're only interested in a 50-hp increase ...then the OEM split-shot injectors are the way to go because using single-shot injectors will increase the wear rate of the top compression rings ...and this is true even if you don't increase the HP and just switch to single-shot injectors at the same fuel flow to get improved MPG! I'll be posting some discussions of this effect and eventually a detailed computer simulation to support this claim!

If you're looking for a good "all around" performance, tow, play injector without doing anything different with your turbo and fuel system, then I'd go with a stage 1. Programmed right with the the right supporting mods, you'll get more than 50hp out of them. It'll pull really well when you do, plus it'll have that extra power to play with during the fun times.

I think he's converted to the late 99-03 setup. At least it looks like if from his sig.

Crap. I don't usually miss that stuff...

The 1.0 housing should support Stage 1s nicely. 160/175cc sticks with stock nozzles will get you 360ish at the wheels.

EDIT: I'm curious how Gene will propose how to get 50 extra ponies out of OEM sticks.
