I would say "Good luck on the install", but luck has nothing to do with it. You have skills and knowledge, two tools that you are armed with to do an excellent job.
Good luck... Remember, any job worth doing is worth doing right. I wouldn't rush it. A nice bonus it has forged rods too!
PMR's = no sale. I would have looked elsewhere.

Yes, many times yesterday. This is a great family to belong to.

I managed to do it outside with no shop and limited tools. FTE got me through it just fine!
Keep us updated and keep on truckin!
I don't know how you got it done out there. That 900 lb engine really weights down the cherry picker and you managed to get that thing to roll in the dirt.

with valve covers, Oil pan, drained etc.
they(Ford) are just freaks on the container it was ship in/on.
you will get credit!
I pulled the oil pan for a look and that's as far as I'm going.
I could still see crosshatch on the cylinder walls and there were no piston cooler jets laying in the bottom of the pan.
Clean enough to look like a brand new engine.
Now about the engine.
It's getting a few enhancements, but nothing more than stock injectors, etc.
This idea from Clay is brilliant.
Of course, my fuel crossover kit is going back on to the new engine.
I see the new engine comes with the updated UVCH connectors. You had to grind down the quarter a bit more than normal for it to fit down in there. Good deal on the Riffraff plenum inserts. I have been thinking of getting those myself, but haven't had any issues with leaks there with my DS boots.
Looks like you've got things going your way.
Yeah for some reason they put these little tabs under the clips now, so you almost could just cut one quarter in half and still have it work.
I guess if someone were a real miser they could just do the 25cent mod.

I purchased one of the updated connectors from ebay and noticed Ford's idea of a fix. If I ever need to use it, I'm going to cut off the tabs (not much to 'em) and put my modified quarter back in. Looks like your mod will work just fine. Thanks for the picture to explain this. Some members have had problems with getting the quarter in, due to these tabs.
