HORIZONTAL FUEL CONDITIONER MODULE

Has anyone had a problems draining the HFCM? I got the water in fuel indicator light and tried to move the lever, and it is frozen stiff. I've drained it before and never had a problem but this time it won't move. Anyone have an idea or had this problem before?

Just got it off the lift, and got a bunch of gunk out of the track. I was able to drain the HFCM. So far so good.

I hope you didn't pay for it! Ford warranty is 5yr/100000 miles! And the HFCM is covered under that warranty.

A friend of mine broke the arm off, and the dealer covered it under warranty. It might be the dealers call, but I'm not sure.

The 100K warranty should cover it because the part is needed for the proper operation of the engine. That's how it was explained to me from a Ford engineer.

The HFCM should be covered by the warranty. The front cover where the drain plug and water in fuel sensor ride on the HFCM is removable and only cost $80 from Ford. I replaced one on my buddies 04 because his WIF sensor went bad and it took 20 mins. Can't believe they charge that much to replace it.

Aloha to all. The lever on my HFCM (Horizontal Fuel Conditioning Module) has broken. I have never touched it. The "Drain Water Separator" indicator lit up after picking up the truck from ford maintenance. After my research, I found the location only to find that the lever was missing. Can this lever be replaced without replacing the whole unit?
