Green wrench
I have a 2008 F350 with 6.4. Havent had a lot of problems, but i have seen the green wrench before. It usually cost big. Last month I started getting the big Green Wrench. When i pulled codes it said EGR.
Interestly the truck would run fine. If i pulled over, shut if off an restarted it cleared. Might drive 15 mile before it would do it again. Even though it would say “reduced engine power” there would be no loss of power.
I parked it and changed the EGR valve. Even cleaned all the carbon out out the housing ( break clean does a great job).
i drove about 40 miles no problems then last night got the green wrench again. Same thing shut it down restart. It clears. Truck runs fine. Any ideas? HELP!
i considered deleting,but dont know if that would solve the underlying cause.
