Inconsistant Smoke

So I took the truck ffor a nice long drive today after work, after about 30 or so miles I was stopped at a trafficc light and saw some greyish blue smoke comming from the exhaust.

Now a little backround: In about the first part of Novemeber the truck would smoke like a chimney, so the dealer installed a new turbo center section, recalibrated it (not the newest one, just missed it), installed some sort of scoop in the intake, and removed intake and cleaned the carbon out. I had Eric at innovative right me some new tunes for the new strategy installed them and the truck smoked bad...long story short he said it was normal due to the cold weather, I didnt like it so I have been running the truck stock with no issues until today.

My question is: could I have an injector going bad, or is this due to the fact that I run some TWC 2 stroke in the diesel fuel. I am not too overly concerned with it as it hasnt been consistant, I was gonna order the BDS spring for the fuel regulator, but now I am not sure whats up with this truck.

It ran great, no check engine light or anything like that, the onlky other thing I do notice is on the first start of the day it does puff a bigger cloud and runs a little rough for a second. I was thinking maybe this had to do with the CAT being gone, but others say that thats not so.

I hope that Cheezit chimes in here with your input...I really would appriciate it. Aslo does the new flash cover any of these smoke issues, my current strategy is VXCF7H3 which is not the newest one. I would pay to have the newest flash installed if it would fix some of what is going on.

Sorry for the long post, just trying to get it all on here, I want to get this figured out before I really need the truck for boat season.

my 06 will puff a little when its cold for less then a min (unmodded truck). The reflash may cure the cold start runs rough, it may not.
Its also normal to roll some coal when under excell and durring upshifting and even more so with any tunes.
also keep in mind the cat covers up a lot of the smoke so if thats gone expect a little bit too.
I would ditch the 2 stroke oil and swuch to pm22 or stanadine or the like. but thats my opinion on that.

Thanks Cheez,

I use the Ford fuel additive with the 2 stroke oil. If you say that I dont need the 2 stroke I will take the advice...thankyou.

I drove the truck today and I saw no smoke at all. As I said I am not running the tunes, and its definately not coal cause it stinks like raw diesel, and has a bluish grey tint to it. I am going to run it a bit and see what happens.

The weird thing is that it will only do it sometimes at idle ater driving, but once I pull away no matter the throttle position, it clears up. But like I said today...no smoke, not even the usual puff on cold start today.

This ones got me swingin...

The 2-stroke oil should not make it smoke, I've been running it for the past year with no smoke at all. (About 1 0z. per gallon.) During the cold I add the diesel kleen white bottle with the 2-stroke oil.

I am running it heavy though. I use a FOMOCO fuel additive bottle, and I am running 1/2 additive and 1/2 2 stroke oil. I have a 45 gallon transflow fuel tank...maybe thats it?

I figured it was an injector issue, but its so inconsitiant right now that I was just not gonna bother the dealer, just trying to get a feel for what everyone here is seeing. The temps are extrme up here right now, they're going form 60 today to 18 tomarrow. Not that that should have anything to do with it, but like I said yesterday no smoke....
