Yup that was me! Thank god it didnt take out the seal in my turbo. So far so good now. Ever since i rerouted it over my Master Cylinder and evened out the hose, havent had a problem.
Good to hear, I remember that thread very clearly.

I see it had you concerned. Good to fix now than a potential bigger problem later and it an easy fix to boot. On a downward slope is good

Good you got it in there Grant. I have a steady stream of mist coming out of mine, as long as its not chuffing like a locamotive your cool. Here in Pa. I have to get mine inspected every year, just inspections, no emisions and my garage never mentioned my CCV hose reroute. Here we have independent garages that hold licenses to inspect vehicles, not as bad, its the state inspection facilities that you'll have a problem I would think. Just don't move to one of those states
I've had my CCV mod almost as long as I've had the truck. My hose runs up over the master cylinder, then down toward the transfer case, pokes out and runs uphill along the frame to just in front of the rear tire. Never had an issue 1 in 2 years with it freezing over or plugging up. Everyone says not to have any dips or uphill runs in the hose... well so far so good for me. The only reason mine is this way is because it was really the only way I could see to run it back any amount of length... I have a mondo fuel tank that hogs up a lot of space I could have run the CCV hose.
I was thinking you could drill a hole in the hose and would allow for drainaige. A trap would probably be a good idea if the hose goes up at any point. Where is the CCV 101 manual?

Be careful of the dips! I had mine running all the way back to the rear wheel for a couple years with no problems. I blew pedastal o-rings, repaired them, all was fine for a while then put my new turbo on a few months later and the snots in the ccv mod hose musta came back and froze cause my pedastal started gushing, I mean GUSHING oil onto the ground. I cut the hose back after another o-ring set and now she dumps to atmosphere under drivers door with a clean engine bay and no leaks.
I was very lucky my o-rings were the path of least resistance so it was a cheap fix. A valuable lesson for me.

Thanks Mike, I had to take mine to a State inspection site when I bought mine. Thinking about moving so might be an issue down the road. Mine does not seem to be a mist just smokey....

Like somebody mentioned before, if your running Rotella like I did, it smelled and seemed a bit more smokey. I'm running the Schaeffers 7000 syn blend now and its just a mist and the smell isn't that bad..
