So I got the power steering in finally the thing works but it blocks the clutch linkage—-fail. So I got a hydraulic clutch and am in the middle of drilling through the clutch fork which is the hardest steel on the planet!! And like and inch and a half thick so more on that later.....

Working on my Sami right now but when done im going power on my 65 I already have a Dana 60 and steering gear box and all other parts off a 79 f350 4wd .I am running a 351w so I got a pump and mount from a econoline which have the same good pump like a Chevy I think there stronger pumps and the only thing they had better than Ford period
yep, that and forgot about this thread lol. I deployed and didn’t have the correct parts I had to re drill holes for the proper angle for the p/s box the placement of the holes from the manual box was so far out of the way and not possible to connect the steering column so not to make the frame Swiss cheese I had to weld a sheet of steel on there and then drill the holes and get all sorts of new fittings did the brake booster as well and have been working on the clutch fork for a while now too.
I put a hydo clutch in mine but since I have upgraded my trans to a t19 it already had one . I can tell you this when mounting master cyl. I got my mounting holes just a hair off and I mean a hair and the push rod to pedal seal goes out from time to time from ware
I just posted a thread on this. EZsteer makes a bolt in kit now that includes the steering box, Saginaw pump, pump mounting bracket, hoses, U-joints, intermediate shaft, and lower column support. I'm going that route. I know there are other methods that may be a little cheaper but that lower initial cost has a way of creeping up by the time you are actually finished. You can get the mounting bracket for whatever engine you have (mine is a 351W). I also had them swap out the single groove pump pulley for an serpentine pulley since my engine has a serpentine set up. I'll update my original post on how the installation goes. The only issue that EZsteer said I may have is clearance between the new steering box and the headers. However, I have a block hugger style header and the rear primary tubes actually run forward so my stock steering box is actually located aft and below the headers. Hopefully it all works out.
I just read your posts of 2013 of your ps conversion project. I got hold of a 1962 F250 4x4 a few months ago here in Sweden and
I really would like power steering on it.
It would be nice with a hydraulic ps like you used. Do you have any experience with an electrical one like the EPAS?
