If you level the 150 you can get 35s on it. That's what mine has right now.
I'd love to do a 4" lift but they don't make them anymore and 6" is just a touch too high to have to lift kids in and out of.
That is a damn good looking truck. I had an 05 F150 Lariat 4x4 that looked just like that (color scheme). I leveled it out and had 34s on it. When I traded it and my harley in for the F350 above, I had them put my brand new tires over on the F350 since they were the exact same size. I didn't do anything else to that truck.
I'm in another 05 F150. This time she's black and tan ex-cab lariat 4x4. I do want to do the 6" lift on it eventually. But, I'll probably settle for the leveling kit and 35s when I do need new tires (by next winter).
I LOVE that bumper you got on yours. Need front and rear bumpers for mine when I do get it lifted. Gotta house the eventual winch and lights. I'll probably settle for a grill guard/winch mount I have in my parents back yard for now. I want to make this truck my expedition style rig. So, a topper will be in the mix as well. Lots of plans. Lots of time. Just need the $$$ and place to do the work on it...
Sorry you lost your truck, Eddie. It was a nice one, except for that ridiculous gangsta rap music it played! Haha! The pickup is pretty much still the same as the last time you saw it when I towed one of your EBs. I just got new rubber last month. $1001 out the door for 285 E ATs. Borrowed $1000 interest free for 9 mos. Paid a buck and out the door. It still runs great and serves its purpose when I haul Clyde to CO or UT for runs.
I took the original 2.9L out of the Bronco II and swapped in a 4L from an Explorer. Did it all myself. 50% power increase. Runs awesome now. 5th gear has a broken synchro but you don't need 5th to rock crawl.
Here's Bonnie & Clyde in front of the Gunsmoke store in Denver on a wheeling trip last year.
Here are a few recent Puerco shots. 35 MTRs are 2 1/2 years old with not much wear yet.
Yeah, that little Bronco II of yours has always impressed me. It's a sweet little rig. Got a buddy who's looking for a Explorer Sport now. I'm hoping he gets the one that has the 5 speed in it. Want to help him "build" it up. That 4.0 is a beast of an engine for a 6 cyl. Too bad the mileage sucks on it. The 3.0 I had in my old Ranger was a good little 6 cyl with enough power to get out of it's own way AND it got nearly 30 MPG. All the 4.0s I had in my 2nd Ranger and my TJ Sport I got 12-13MPG in.
I don't know if you ever saw my last 72 Bronco I had. I bought it in San Diego.
I did bring it back to NM with me when I left San Diego. But, I ended up having to sell it.
But, I did take it to the Rio Grande in Belen before I sold it.
I replaced it with a 94 FSB
The $3K I was saving to do a lift and rims/tires ended up going to a 2000 F250 I ended up losing my *** on. Buyer Beware story. But, no crying over spilled milk. I'm now back in an 05 F150 Lariat 4x4.
For Nostalgia purposes... My old TJ and 98 F150 Ex-Cab 4x4...
