How often do the ic clamps come loose. went on a long trip over x-mass and had no issues. then yesterday went to stand on it in 120r and lost boost. got home and snuged up clamps seems fine now thanks
Did you hear a shotgun go off under the hood when you lost boost? Are they the factory boots? I bought a very nice set of boots at RRE from Clay and I like the heck out of them.
no it is not from the 6637. when i got home last night i snuged the clamps, and seems to hold this mornig on the way to work. now i will have to con the wife to having to buy some more parts from Clay.thank you.

Plus the old OEM boot get squishy over time with the oil from the CCV and just age in general. They start to loose their integrity and like to pop off under a heavy foot. I need to start saving some pennies for some new ones. I snug my clamps up everytime I open the hood.

So THAT'S how you got the BTS for Christmas. I won't tell Phyllis.
Don't forget another live tuning the next day with Jody.
I'm not going to tell Mary about all you have done lately, either.
No secrets here.
Seriously, she knows about all my mods. She just wants me to be happy with my truck and knows what it means to me. She's got her own things she enjoys too and we both have respect for that.

Until you get new boots make sure the stockers are positioned on the IC tubes properly. There is a ridge on the tubes and a groove inside the boots. Make sure groove is seated over the ridge and the clamp is centered over them (between the white lines on stock boots) and then tighten.
