I need a city driver for LA.
I've been thinking about doing what you're doing.

Maxwell, huh? How do you like it? I am currently waiting to hear back on a BOP that I have submitted for Little Rock AFB, so if that goes through i'll be in the south as well.

I love it, but I am trying to pursue a retraining to 1A2 which will move me somewhere. Maybe Little Rock, on the 130s

Good luck with the retraining. I considered going into a 1A career field, but changed my mind. I have a good friend that is a load master on a 130 and he loves it. That said, he is gone alot which would make life tough with a family.

I brought the truck home today. Going to try and get a few things done to it over the next few weeks, but I will have family in town for the holidays, so progress will be slow.

I love your truck. I am also glad I am not the only one who prefers the older grille. I am doing the same with my 79, using the 73-75 inserts!

Thanks. I am not a fan of the 78/79 grille at all. I plan to do a billet grille down the road, which I think will make the front end look even better. I really want to get some work done so that I can start driving it again, but it seems like progress is going to be slow. I WAPS test in Feb also, so I have to manage study time for that too...

Do you have pictures of your truck anywhere on here?

Nice looking truck. I wish mine wouldnt have had all the trim on it, that would have saved me ALOT of time. Have you done anything to your truck lately?

I will be testing for MSgt for the first time.

You're a year ahead of me. I test for MSgt in 2013.

I have a thread with my plans, right now i've been parts collecting. I drove the truck to go get my new engine, that's about it

Here's the updated build/parts collecting/idea thread:

I am having a hard time finding wheels that I like/want. At some point I plan on doing a front and rear suspension swap, so I do not want to invest to much money on wheels at this point.. I plan to run 22 inch wheels, but not finding anything I like in the 5x5.5 bolt pattern. May just try to find a decent deal on craigslist and get something for now...
