Much of ours melted down before the few inches we got this last storm. I knwo the feeling though, my second winter in South Dakota left me with snow melting into May... 14' high drifts in my yard, some places had 20' drifts. I had a 6' drift that went at least 150 yards... had one car buried completely, couple other stuck half deep...I actually was parking cars on the road so they wouldn't be trapped at the house.Luckily, the road was not traveled much, actually was blocked off by the snow. That ended up being a lifesaver, as where they had plowed ended up being 20' deep, while where they hadn't was only a couple feet, packed so much I could drive over it without sinking.

Howdy, Pat... holiday was okay. They're not really a big deal to me, I guess. I can see my kinfolks anytime, and never did care for all the shopping and such.
As for the snow... well, I think we got less than they were calling for, which does'nt bother me much. No big drifts, anyway, although some of the piles they made alongside the roads might last for awhile. If that was the last of the winter's snow, you won't hear me complain.
