I had figured the college would close since all the schools around them already did, but since they hadn't yet, went ahead and got ready just in case they were brave. Nope, they cancelled after I was all showered and about ready to go.....

I did get the gas truck working right. It seems the relay has totally failed, and one of a parts car was too, because the new one I brought home is doing the trick... Went most of the month without the darn thing through all this fun weather over a relay....

Morning to you as well! I get an impromptu day off...

I'll probably work on some homework and maybe get a few things done around the house. Should go get some supplies before it gets too nasty...

I just need a few things to fix the shower head hanging through my wall... Already have the materials, but some of it is at my parent's house since I just installed the shower for my dad so he didn't have to go up the stairs any more. I know what you mean though, many go just before the storm and act like it is going to be weeks before they can get back out. Others wait until it is bad to go... I just try to stay properly stocked all the time so it isn't an issue. We don't get shut down for days much any more, the worst I ever dealt with was a 3 day blizzard in South Dakota. The snow drifts were packed enough I could drive my 75 F250 4x4 over the drifts and barely sink in... Still, only a few days...

These city people get riled so easily... The shelves clear out at the talk of a heavy storm, yet many of them live here all the time... They would be so screwed if we had any real shortages... Out here in the country, we just try to stay prepared, rather than wait. It even happens in our little town here, let alone in bigger cities.

Good morning Roger, Steve, and the Iowa gang. Same crap here Roger, freezing rain/drizzle. I don't know if they've canceled schools here or not. Took me forever to get in to work this morning. I'd rater have a heavy snow than this crap.

Only consolation, no fog for the first time in a week.
