Glad its working. Id recheck your fuel pressure now that you cleaned the fpr screen as that has a profound effect on your pressure that and the filter.
Jchosler in case your intersted and as you get into more PMS (powerstroke mod syndrome) with your truck as its now running. Shoot me a me PM some time and Ill introduce you to the local club here in CO, there are several members near you big into tractor pulling and drag racing these trucks.
good deal you got her to light and for next to nothing . Keep that oil changed and all of your filters clean . That truck has got quite a few good miles ahead of it. Good luck take care of it and it will be a very dependable piece of transportation and then some .
Do what oversize was saying run some cleaner through the fuel system and then check the fuel pressure again . You might want to use a real fuel pressure gauge this time just to put your mind at ease knowing it was as accurate as it could be . I say run it for a few miles just to make sure it has purged everything that wasnt supposed to be in the fuel system before messing with the pump .

or just check your tire pressure guage on your tires(assuming you know what you run for tire pressure) and verify that the guage works right then recheck with the tire pressure guage. we use nothing but a tire pressure guage when we work on new guys trucks. haha
glad you got it up and running. glad we could help and SAVE YOU A REBUILD!!!! LoL. just goes to show you not to jump to conclusions huh? haha. if you can post up a video of it running. i'd like to see how its running. great job on gettin' it done as well. you did good being that your new to these engines.
So ends that saga.Great job man. what ever did you pay for that truck anyway? I remember you said it didn't run when you got it. Must have turned out to be a good deal. Don't forget to put some good cleaner in your tanks. Clean that old junk out of you injectors. Man, the guys on FTE sure know there stuff! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
I paid $2000 for it, deal of the century. I wish I could thank all you guys personaly, I'm glad I found this forum. Once the truck is finalised, I'll probably sart another thread on mod's. Hope to here from you again.
All you guys have been great!!
I will pm you oversize some time after the holidays when I can start the mods.
I will also try to get the video link goin also Strokin.
I bought this truck because of an insurance thing. A car drove into my house and totaled my Honda, 88 f250, and damaged my rock crawler. So with some of that money I got the diesel i've wanted since I was 17, mostly to pull my crawler, and when more of that money comes, I'll start some mods now that I can use that anticipated money that was for the rebuild... After the holidays of course
