Good luck and whatever price tag is on it basically... Honestly no more the $35 BUT they are in demand and most people arent honest...

i wonder if the black cps would make my truck run a little better, ive had 2 grey ones and both give me trouble with the CCT

I'm kind of a CPS *****... I have a black one installed, a new in bag gray one at home(talked the tech into handing it to me in the bag instead of replacing my good black one when I had the recall done), along with an IH black CPS and 2 used black CPS's in the glovebox. Locked and loaded!
Rick, I'll make you a screaming deal on my gray CPS if you want it.

UPDATE!!! Black CPS has been in there for a couple of weeks now. Absolutely no issues with my truck at all. No codes, and it has been running great!

Me too Lisa. I replaced the gray with a new black one earlier this year. And dare I say I think it idled a little smoother with the gray one? Could be placebo effect, but I don't think so. I haven't swapped it back, but I put the gray in the glove box for a rainy day.

Yeah, pretty strange how it affects some trucks and not others.

I was going through organizing my tools today, and I found another black CPS. I have no idea where it came from..I think it was my original black CPS I switched out for a grey when I was having my ICP issues, switched out the CPS to see if that was the issue. In any case, if anyone starts having problems and needs a black CPS, let me know.

We need to set up a gray CPS/truck meeting group where they can find the right partner. LOL

The stealership swapped mine @ 2 months ago, and everything was fine until 2 days ago...it is very noticable...when driving, the truck will be running along normally, then the SES light will come on, and instantly, it feels rough, bucking/ jerking, and running like there's water in the fuel or something...after a few seconds, or @ a mile, the SES will go out, and the truck is back to normal...so, my issue is intermittent, but an issue nonetheless...i just got off the phone with the stealership, and i quote..."the cps may not be the issue...we'll have to run a diagnostic test to see if you're getting those SES codes...at your expense..." of course, why not, because my truck was such a POS when i brought it to them and let them screw it up, now, i have to pay for them to fix their screw up...maybe i'll get lucky and the recall-recall will hit before i get there Monday....lolanybody want an early '99 F-250 SD that's been unmolested...except for this dang grey CPS???? one thing after another...i'm starting to lose it....lmao

They have to run an oasis on your truck and it should come up as a "TSB" or Technical service bulletin. FYI: Dealerships hate to hear costumers say what they learned on a forum...

OK, thanks Nolan...i'll make sure they do that...i printed out the PDF from your OG post...and, you're right, i made sure i read that PDF to the service writer guy...he didn't like it...they seem to take issue with people that try to learn about their vehicle before they come let them bend em over....lol
