I had an awesome Thanksgiving. The builder I'm working for had me over. The Cowboys played well. And I get to go to my mom's Sunday and eat a Thanksgiving dinner again!
Today was a beautiful day here as well. I finally finished all the closets and shelving in the house. Just a few odds and ends and then all that's left is trimming the cabinets, crown and base. Three more days or so and it's payday.
I know winter must be coming, but what a beautiful fall we have had here. Just retired about 6 weeks ago and was able to enjoy all of this weather. Have been able to get a lot of small things done on my 85 F150. It is so nice to wake up in the morning and not have to go off to work. Been able to do some needed work around the house, cut wood, and not have to hurry, just take my time. Nice

I won't be able to afford insurance on both, and April I will have to renew my tags for the F250. The oil problem is a 15 dollar/week problem right now. Drive for 2 miles, park, oil puddle the size of my torso appears within 15 minutes. I can't afford to pay for 5 quarts of oil/month. then gas, then insurance, and once a year new tags for the plates. I have until april to get the problem fixed, but if it just keeps getting worse, I will bite the bullet and but the F250 up for auction.
What size motor in your F-250? If it's a 460, your oil sender, located at the back of the intake manifold, could be leaking down the back of the engine. This would make it hard to locate. It'd be a shame to sell your truck over a $20.00 repair. It could be the oil sender regardless of what motor you have. It's just that the 460 and the diesel both have the oil sender at the back of the intake manifold where it's hard to get at. Most others are down by the oil filter.
