Truck not been running right, seems low on power and has a slight miss at idle. was wondering if anyone can tell me how to do buzz test for injectors. heard that you needed a program for your lap top to do this. Does anyone know if this is correct and where to get it and cost!! Thanks
When things like that happen, I usually run a tank of B100, change the fuel filter, clean the housing, change the oil, fill up with the regular stuff and Diesel Kleen, and my truck is good to go.
i did the oil and fuel filter change it didn't change a thing i will try the dk. i don't think i can get b100 around here thinks for the input
Not sure how cold it is up in Ohio, but you should try running a tank of B100 and adding 2 bottles of Prolong to your oil. It can be found at Autozone and works wonders. It'll run you about $40 for two bottles, but it along with a tank of B100 fixed my injectors and at 247K they still buzz strong.
i will try that we are close on the miles i'm at 255000 and this is the first issue that i have had and it's not real bad but i'm going on a hunting trip pulling my 31' camper, 5 guys worth of gear and a four wheeler in the bed and i don't want to end up on the side of the road thanks for your help.
