Funny thing is how many i have seen people arguing against re-gearing. Most claim you can just custom tune it and it will overcome all the power loss... I tend to disagree. And you are one of the few proponents of regearing and have the experience to back it up! thanks!
Most of the people who argue against it are the people who took the easy, cheaper way out, thinking that would fix a problem that only hardware (gears) can fix. I'm the kinda guy you will figure things out on his own and go against the crowd if it comes down to it.
I was booed on a number of forums for deciding to regear, but when you program or tune it to overcome the power loss, all you're doing is making your engine and trans work harder than they already are to get and keep your truck moving. The CORRECT Gears lighten the load and allow both to do their job considerably easier.
