Craigwell:

Thanks for the info. Looking at these pics it looks different that what i have. The valve ports are on the top of my valve, not the side. If the hoses still hook up the same, i have them all backwards. Maybe I'll try them in these positions and see what happens.

Thanks

Bingo, that's what I have. Looks like they are all correct. Now I'm really stumped. Why does in only power steer left? When I turn right it actually feels like I'm fighting against power assist, more than just not having power assist, there seems to be pressure pushing against my right turn. the only thing I can think is the Cylinder is bad. It's new but maybe it's bad. I'm at my wits end!!

refer to my post about shimming, and look at the exploded diagram. You need to get inside your CV and adjust the spool.

You might get $250 for a D44 front, maybe $500 if it's complete D44HD with the large external hubs intact. Depends on your area though, and how many are around. Most people are chasing D60 fronts, and those are the bigger ticket items to sell.

A few other things I had to do was notch out the radiator support a bit to clear the gearbox. The power steering pump pulley comes close to the gearbox, but works.

Other than the crossmember fab work, the drag link bolted right up with no modification. The factory steering shaft should also work, but I didn't have one so I just went with a new Borgeson steering shaft. Works great and it's a slip shaft so it's easy to remove if need to. I do think someday I'd like to convert to the inverted T style steering though.
