My question is this, I have a 1999 Ranger 3.0 Flex fuel, I am putting a reman engine in it and it has different heads than what is called for, I know the primary difference is the gaskets and seals, can these heads be used with flex fuel system,.
This is the second time in the past month or so that somebody has indicated that the heads on a Ranger 3.0L FFV (ethanol) are different than those from a standard gasoline 3.0L.
One important difference that I am aware is the fuel injectors. When swapping a regular gasoline 3.0L into a FFV application, you will need to keep the FFV fuel injectors, since they are larger than the gasoline injectors.
