Thanks Husky44! With my work schdule, I'm gone for the most of the year until the winter months and would love to feel what a real winter feels like.

Having spent some time in your neck of the woods (a couple of assignments at FT Bragg) I can tell you that winter here is much more pleasant!

The humidity is very low, so +10 degrees here is much more comfortable than a gray, rainy +40 in NC (IMHO).

Let us know when you're coming. Alaskans LOVE showing off our state!

i personaly like dec through feb. march is a crap shoot its either snowing alot of melting to beat hell and melting is rather ugly IMO. but really any time you come there is beauty to be seen.

it was a fun trip, i love this truck because you can fit plenty of people and head off. nobody says there tired of riding or "are we there yet?" and i never get tired of driving it.

i just got my SCT tuner and OMG its a whole new truck. i cant wait to take another trip and see what the mpg does.

Husky, you have royally screwed up. I think I'm going to take you up on that offer. I'd love to drive out there, but I think that it will be cheaper for me to fly (4 day drive and about $2000 in fuel round trip). But I would love it. The roads are so nasty up there, but I probably wouldn't have my eyes on the road anyways.

Yeah, but their fathers are well-armed.

As the father of a cute Alaskan girl, I thought you should know that.

Great pics and vids.

I got a kick out of it when the 'cute Alaskan girl' seemed to get back into the EX for safety from the ice. I luv my Ex, and ask it to do a lot, but would never expect it to float

yes i love living up here, i am born and raised so i'm used to the beauty but i still try to take it all in when i can and not take it for granted. when i go on vacation i get pretty home sick after about 2 weeks..i miss my moutains and clean air lol

heres a new shot with my trucks in it..2 arent pictured but they are mainly parts trucks..these are all driven and in my name. my grandma jokes i only need 2 more to have one for every day of the week haha. i drive the excursion daily but i love my explorers

Great Pictures. I live in Wasilla a few miles from Hatchers Pass and love going up there. I Just bought a 2000 Excursion in Nov. I love it and it does so much more than my Expedition did. I will post some pictures as soon as I can figure out how to.

Hey, those are beautiful views up there. I have the 8000k HIDs on my 05 Ex. I love to drive it at night, especially on the highway with all the reflective objects. I think all Excursion owners should upgrade to these. On the 05 headlights with halogen bulbs, my visibility was really limited, but after the HIDs came in, it seemed like a new truck altogether.
