I agree the chrome needs to go, I like the painted grills too. I see that you change out the wheels with the weather? Do you like the factory wheels better or your customs?
BTW...the pictures a views are AWESOME! Keep posting one day I'll drive up there and enjoy some of them too!!!!!
changing the wheels isnt the point its the tires. i run double studded snow tires in the winter on the stock wheels. ofcourse i like the look of the 20" wheels but need the traction of a good dedicated snow tire.
i run the 20s from april-ish to october-ish from october to april its pretty much snow covered around here and we dont salt and use very little sand so the roads stay iced over unless it gets above freezing.
my orig plan was to replace the bumpers with paintable also and go monotone and have the only chrome be the step bars and wheels but idk what direction i'm going to go now...kinda thinking of keeping the chrome bumpers. less issues with rock chipping paint..ect which i deal with on my explorer which has a painted bumper.
AlaskanEx - the rig is looking really clean. Have you considered removing the pin-stripes? I peeled them off my dark blue 03 with no cladding it made a big difference. It makes it look more current.
Just park it in the sun for awhile to heat up the glue and then peal them off. I had to use a little goo-gone in a few spots, but it came off really clean and no evidence that the stripes were ever there.
i have the pass side pin stripe taken off. mines painted on so it takes alittle more to get it off. i've been meaning to do the drivers side for almost a year now but keep putting it off haha
best thing i found was a combo of thinner and the eraser wheels that go on your drill.
i'm not 100% on selling it may keep it forever...i'm tossing around the idea. i have a friend with a very nice low mile lincoln aviator that would be very nice to have and lets face it more practical so i'm just testing the waters so to speak.

I thought you said you would never sell it about 3 weeks ago ???
well work has been non-exsistant basicly so money has been tight. i think i feaked out about gas and truck payment..ect but i'm scraping by so it'll be fine.
i'm happy to report its off craigslist and still safely in the garage
the arrow is pointing to the right. in the pics i took in the mirror it was taken from the drivers side mirror of the volvo i was in. thus pointing to the right which on the highway would be the slow lane.
